Cyprus Opening its Ports of Entry

In an attempt to maintain the possitive epidimiological condition, the government of  the Republic of Cyprus has opened its borders to the citizens of many countries but it has listed countries according to the level of Covid-19 risk. 

Category  A countries are those countries which are considered low risk. These are: Austria, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Republic of, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, New Zealand, Norway, Poland
Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland
Category B are those countries whose epidimiological situation presents some risk. These are Andorra, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Holy See (Vatican City State), Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Romania, San Marino, Spain, Uruguay. 

Category C are countries which are regarded as high risk countries. 

Citizens of Countries listed in Category A
All passengers arriving into the Republic of Cyprus from the counties listed in category A, are required to have completed the Passenger Locator Form and the Declarations for Category A Countries, through the dedicated web electronic platform of the Republic of Cyprus in order to obtain the «Cyprus Flight Pass».

Note: Any passenger travelling from Category A Countries but have stayed/lived in Category B or C country, within the past 14 days before their travel to the Republic of Cyprus or they will be passengers on an international journey to the Republic of Cyprus via intermediate Countries of Category B or C with an overnight stay, as per relevant Country categorization announcement of the Republic of Cyprus, are considered as travelers from Category B or C Countries. As such the requirements for Category B or C countries, have to be satisfied.

Citizens of Countries listed in Category B
All passengers arriving into the Republic of Cyprus from the countries listed in category B must have the following in place:
a. A test confirming they are negative PCR for Covid-19 which will have been done 72 hours prior to their travel to the Republic of Cyprus and possess a certificate which confirms negative PCR for Covid-19, issued from a certified laboratory.
b. Must complete the Passenger Locator Form and the Declarations for Category B Countries, through the dedicated web electronic platform of the Republic of Cyprus in order to obtain the «Cyprus Flight Pass».

Note: Passengers who travel from Category B Countries but have stayed/lived in Category C Country, within the past 14 days before their travel to the Republic of Cyprus or they will be passengers on an international journey to the Republic of Cyprus via intermediate Countries of Category C with an overnight stay, as per relevant Country categorization announcement of the Republic of Cyprus, are considered as travelers from Category C Countries.

Category C countries are all countries which are not listed in Category A and B.
The following conditions apply for passengers arriving into Cyprus from Countries in category C:
A. The following category of passengers will only be permitted to fly to the Republic of Cyprus coming from countries listed in Category C:
i. Cyprus citizens, or permanently residing in the Republic of Cyprus and their family members (foreign spouses, their minor children and their parents).
ii. Persons legally residing in the Republic of Cyprus.
iii. Persons allowed to enter in the Republic of Cyprus under the Vienna Convention.
iv. Persons, having a special permission by the Republic of Cyprus, irrespective of their nationality.

B. Passengers have to conduct, a test confirming that they are negative PCR for Covid-19 at least 72 hours prior to their travel to the Republic of Cyprus and must possess a certificate which confirms negative PCR for Covid-19, issued from a certified laboratory.

C. Passengers have to complete the Passenger Locator Form and the Declarations for Category C Countries, through the dedicated web electronic platform of the Republic of Cyprus in order to obtain the «Cyprus Flight Pass».

Note 1: Passengers will have the option of either arranging themselves a COVID-19 test 72 hours prior to their travel to the Republic of Cyprus or have the test, performed upon their entry into the Republic of Cyprus, at their own expense. Where they will elect to have the test performed upon their entry to the Republic of Cyprus, they will remain in quarantine at a place designated by the government of Republic of Cyprus until the test results become available.

Note 2: Notwithstanding whether the test is negative or positive, passengers must remain in compulsory self-isolation for 14 days either at their residence or in case they do not have a residence in the Republic of Cyprus, at a place that will be indicated to them by the Republic of Cyprus and they will take precautions and self-protection measures, which will be given by the Ministry of Health.
